When the Platte County Steam & Gas Engine Club members traveled through Platte County on Friday, August 14, they stopped in Parkville’s English Landing Park to find the Northland Career Center faculty and staff waiting for them with lunch, drinks and dessert. Northland Career Center was fortunate this year to be chosen by the club to benefit from their fundraising. On Friday, September 25, Alan Goodwin and Steve Foster presented Cheryl Hill, NCC Director, with a check for $2575.68. Those funds, including monies collected the day of the cruise, will be used to help pay for SkillsUSA district, state and national competitions.
